This was actually gonna be a Most Wanted Monday a few weeks back but I never got around to doing it so here it is Ralvero and Quintino’s collaboration ‘Jackpot’. Quintino’s philosphy on producing since ‘Epics’ success has definitely been just make super heavy festival bangers and hey it seems to be working. This one has a big buildup with some fun coin slot machine type noises and then drops real real big. Definitely a good one to pregame to in Atlantic City gonna have to put it to the test sometime soon!
As 2012 comes to a close we here at ELB have been working hard to make up our list of the best songs of the year. This year we’ve decided to change how we made the lists, instead of five volumes of our favorite tracks we’ve decided to create a list of our top 100 tracks from January to November (December will be getting its normal Best Of Lists)! As you know 2012 has been a huge year for EDM so cutting the list to 100 was so hard that we had to cut a few tracks that we really loved. However we feel like we have to share them with you, so we decided to create an honorable mentions list. So without further ado here’s the last 15 songs (still really good songs) we had to cut to get to 100 cause they deserve some love!
No surprise here topping out Best of October Remixes, Bootlegs and Edits list is the absolutely massive remix from DubVision of ‘Committed to Sparkle Motion’. Also on the list are some incredible remixes from the likes of James Egbert, Archie, Denzal Park, Quintino and more!
Here goes nothing, my write up of All Mixed Up on Saturday October 27, 2012 in New York City at Pier 94 featuring the incredible talents of Sebastian Ingrosoo, Alesso and Otto Knows. First and foremost another amazing job by the event team at Pacha NYC for putting this thing together at such a large venue, always a flawless production. This was my first time attending a show at Pier 94 so I was unsure of exactly how the venue is set up, its kind of outdoors but in a large tent so its also a bit indoors I suppose. Now this was of course a Halloween show and along with I guess you could say it’s sister show, The Haunted Coliseum at Nassau, the DJs played a set at the Coliseum then made their way to the Pier right afterwards for their sets their. Pretty genius idea to sellout to enormous arenas and have it worked out so easily. Enough introduction lets get to the sets starting with Otto Knows, who I did miss a good chunk of because as usual I was late but I did get some of his set so continue reading here!
Brand new remix from a Dutch powerhouse producer Quintino of the Spencer & Hill track ‘Surrender’. Ari lends her voice for the vocals on the track which are absolutely perfect and we get to hear a little different sound from Quintino here. Looking at Quintino’s notable releases over the past year which obviously includes ‘Epic’ but also ‘We Gonna Rock’ and ‘The One and Only‘ which all have big rooms dutch style drops this one has a different feel to it. He gives it a nice progressive build which continues right into the drop keeping those great vocals going throughout the song. Love to hear Quintino’s sound expanding and growing as a producer and I’m excited to hear what he has in store for us!
So last post I gave you two Trap remixes of some classic Dubstep tracks this time around I’m gonna give you two Trap remixes of some classic House tracks. First up I have Luminox’s remix of Sando Silva and Quintino’s massive track ‘Epic’ which has become a staple in DJs sets for sure. Since the song is already so epic its hard to imagine what a remix could do to make it better. This track is definitely a real solid remix they added some samples to the buildup and then kept the drop similar but added that little Trap flair to it. I also have the Oh Snap! bootleg of Nari and Milani’s massive hit ‘Atom’ which has also become a staple in so many sets. Just like ‘Epic’ the song already has such a massive sound and bass to it but giving it a little Trap aspect definitely didn’t hurt. As I said before make sure you play these with a nice subwoofer to get the full effect because it’s a lot of fun. Give these a listen and let us know what you think about all these Trap tracks and remixes that are coming out! Enjoy!
Pitbull’s new song ‘Back In Time’ is one of the most played songs on the radio in America right now and some big time producers like Quintino, Gregor Salto, and Alvaro have decided to remix it. All of the remixes take that awesome old time feeling guitar riff and remix it into major dance tracks. First up Alvaro takes the guitar riff and adds some major ‘move your body bass’ that I’m absolutely loving. Gregor Salto’s take is a little different keeping some of the simple sample from the song and transforming it into a Dutch house banger. Finally Quintino’s remix features the highest production value as he takes that nice guitar riff and drops it into some crazy electro house… Enjoy
Quintino has just dropped a bootleg of Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo’s radio hit Let’s Go. The bootleg features Harris’ build up and Ne-Yo’s vocals but Quintino gives the drop a new much heavier drop. The songs drop sounds like the one Quintino used in We Gonna Rock which was one of my favorite songs from January. Enjoy.
Kaskade is bringing back Music Monday’s which has given us gems like Falling In Love With Brazil, Move For First Aid, and Angel On My Shoulder Reaver 76. His newest mash-up has Kaskades own Call Out and he combines it with Quintino and Sandro Silva’s huge hit Epic. The result is the trancy lyrics from Call Out being put over Epic’s build up to it’s ‘Epic’ drop. Enjoy this one!
Quintino and Moti have released their highly anticipated track Circuits on Afrojacks Wall records. The song features a melodic synth led build up that eventually drops into a really fun electro house song. This one has all the makings of a club hit, enjoy.
